=l=l=l=l= PROJECTS =l=l=l=l=

07/2007: Official release:  In order to provide better operation of the trains containing our customers freight and our passenger customers. 'Yard Master' Hank and crew are reworking both yards.  Main line traffic still operational, yard restrictions apply in the yard limits during construction.

10/2007: Update:  'Yard Master' Hank and crew are hard at work: track and turnouts are being laid, switch machines are being prepared for installation.  Progress is moving at a good rate.

Good job crew, I will recommend all of you for a rai$e.

10/2007: 'Signal Maintainer' Bill is hard at work wiring the CTC panel; face plates are in and switches and LEDs are being installed and wired.  Lots and Lots of wires.

02/2008: Update:  Work is continuing on Wyoming Yard at a snow's pace (in mean slow pace)  we have seen our share of snow and ice this winter and crew members have had a difficult time getting to our Tuesday night meetings.
We are making progress in the Wyoming Yard and Grand Rapids area including Union Station.

06/2008: Spring is here and even though the building construction business is down in Michigan we have our own building 'boom' going here at the club, we are starting many building projects including the Roundhouse in Wyoming Yard, and many other areas of the layout.

05/2009: Spring has arrived once again (two years in a row per our NEWS page), over the winter we have made major improvements to our buildings heating system, no air conditioning yet but some day we are hoping.  We also have made great progress on our library; organizing our publications, getting the room painted and shelving set up.
As for the layout progress is still under way in Wyoming yard, along with others areas.

Check back for progress on these projects.
